As part of their global, $5M equality awareness campaign, Equality First, AT&T launched a custom app. After setting up a profile, users were asked a few questions about their views on equality in the workplace.
After the introductory questions were answered, the app displayed an overview of all answers gathered to date. Users were then invited to engage with app content such as podcasts and an animated series.
One app feature designed to help employees learn about equality through interaction was Connected Conversations. Employees were matched with other employees they didn't know and given conversation prompts. Users began by answering a few questions about themselves.
The app algorithm then matched users with other employees, based on aspiring to bring people with diverse views together. Conversations then led to learning through simple human interaction.
